The Catalog Setup Wizard is a tool that displays listings from your sales channels which are not currently configured and gives you actions to link them to existing items or create new inventory items from them.
How to use the Wizard
Previous: Go back to the previous listing shown in the wizard.
Save & Continue: Save the configuration of the current listing and continue to the next listing in the wizard.
Skip: Skip configuring the current listing for now and continue to the next listing in the wizard.
Commit Saved Changes: Finish configuring any listings and commit those configurations to your catalog.
Make sure to click Commit Saved Changes once finished to save any progress made on the wizard.
Link Listings to Existing Items and Kits
1. Select either Link to existing item or Link to existing kit, then search the table for the item within SKULabs.
Tip: SKULabs will fill in the search bar with the listing's SKU or Barcode, but you may need to replace the search field yourself if the correct item exists under a different SKU.
2. After locating the correct item, click the chain icon on the right side of the table next to the correct item. This links the listing to the item or kit.
3. Click Save & Continue.
Creating new Items and Kits from the Wizard
If the listing showing on the Wizard does not yet have an item or kit within SKULabs, you can create one from the listing. Just use the Create new item or Create new kit options on the wizard.
Select the default settings to apply when manually creating items and kits with the wizard:
Auto-populate name + SKU: Automatically fill in the name and SKU when creating new items/kit.
Auto-populate barcode: Automatically fill in the barcode of the new item/kits.
Auto-populate location: Automatically fill in the location of a new item.
Create new item:
All new items require a unique Name, SKU, and Barcode. An optional picking location can be set as well.
After finishing Save & Continue.
Create new kit:
Kits represent more than one individual item and can also be used for listings that represent different lengths, weights, bundles, or lot sizes of other inventory items.
All new kits require a unique name and SKU. You can then configure the kit with components of new or existing items and their quantities.
