Developer barcode templates

Previously known as advanced barcode templates.

Updated over 4 years ago

Developer template design is an advanced feature and requires a working knowledge of HTML and CSS. If you are not comfortable with making changes to a template yourself, contact our support team.

FOR DEVELOPERS ONLY

Developer barcode templates are not recommended for most users! Occasionally SKULabs support will build a custom template for you but we do not recommend changing it's settings unless you're very familiar with website development.

Configuration

  • Name - The name of the template referenced throughout the app.

  • Page Width - The width (in inches) of one page of the barcode template.

  • Page Height - The height (in inches) of one page of the barcode template.

  • PPI - Pixels per inch (density used when generating page). You rarely want to set this to anything other than 96.

  • Show HRI - Show human readable identifier (alphanumeric below barcode)

  • HRI Font Size - Font size for human readable identifier (in pixels)

  • Per Page - Number of barcodes to place on a page before breaking

  • Barcode Width - The width of each line in the barcode (in pixels). You rarely want to set this higher than 1 or 2.

  • Barcode Height - The height of the barcode (in pixels)

  • Orientation - The orientation for the generated template

CSS - Used to apply padding, margin, and font sizes to barcodes

<style type="text/css">
html, body {
margin: 0;
}
.barcode-label {
text-align: center;
}
.barcode {
margin: auto;
}
.small-text-under-barcode {
max-height: 0.3in;
font-size: 12px;
margin-top: 0;
margin-bottom: 0;
overflow: hidden;
}
@media print {
.page-break {
clear: left; display: block; page-break-after: always;
}
}
@page {
margin: 0;
}
</style>

HTML - Repeated HTML used to generate one barcode.

<div class="barcode-label">
<div class="text-center">
<img style="max-width: 100%;" src="IMAGE" />
</div>
<h3>SKU</h3>
<div class="barcode" data-barcode="BARCODE"></div>
<p class="small-text-under-barcode">RETAIL</p>
</div>
