New batch modes: reverse scanning & bulk ship
Updated over a week ago

Traditionally, batch picking in SKULabs was designed to allow large teams to pick and pack orders seamlessly. To provide more flexibility in how you process batched orders, we've now introduced two new modes: "bulk ship" and "reverse scanning".

New batch shipping workflow

Bulk ship mode enables you to use the power of our "Bulk ship orders" workflow in combination with the power of batch automated order grouping.

This feature will start a bulk shipping session as soon as you're done picking the orders in the batch. If you prefer the bulk shipping interface, this can be a valuable way to improve your shipping performance.

Because batches are designed to only ship inventory picked during the batch, you may find the proposed shipment quantities work better for you in Bulk ship mode because we consider all sources of picked inventory even those from multiple batches when orders were set aside due to lack of inventory.

New batch picking options

Reverse scanning mode introduces a new way to pick orders within a batch where you start by scanning any item and then it takes you into the single-order picking screen to pick, pack, and/or ship the order. In this mode, as soon as all orders are cleared or shipped, we'll take you to the relevant step in the batch to continue the batch process with packing slip printing, batch barcode printing, and more. Further, once you ship an order in reverse scanning mode, you'll be taken back to the list of orders to resume your next order.

Paper pick list mode allows you to jump straight into shipping orders while leaning on the powerful automated order grouping features from the batch system. A batch pick list will print out to allow your team to start picking while you finish printing the labels.

Paper packing slip mode allows you to jump straight into shipping orders while leaning on the powerful automated order grouping features from the batch system. Packing slips will print out to allow your team to start picking while you finish printing the labels.

No picking mode allows you to print out shipping labels using our powerful order grouping allowing you to manually print any documents you wish.
