Using and Managing Tags

Item tags, orders tags, customer tags, PO tags, import tags from sales channel, import or edit tags by CSV file

Updated over a week ago

Tags are a simple but flexible way to help better identify, sort, filter, and categorize information throughout SKULabs.

Tags can be managed and applied to items, orders, contacts, POs, by selected entries on your table, then clicking the Tag button at the top of the table to apply new or remove existing tags.

Once added to orders, items, etc. your table filters can then be used to show or hide those tags.

Adding new tags

To add new, edit existing, or remove tags, click the Tag button, then click "Manage Tags" at the bottom of the dropdown.

From here, you can click Add tag, enter a name, and click the save icon to create new ones:

Import tags from a sales channel

Some sales channels like Shopify support the ability to import tags or notes on items and orders during sync. Within your SKULabs store's settings, check the integration and access settings panel for more options.

How SKULabs handles auto-generated tags from my sales channel

By default, SKULabs automatically prevents importing troublesome transaction-identifier-like tags like "TX#303929929202" or other tags containing largely random characters in them.

If you find examples of these troublesome tags are importing, please see the following article:

Assign tags to orders using shipping rules

Tags can be automatically assigned using logic in your created shipping rules.

Import or edit tags with a CSV import

The Import/Export offers simple imports for Item tags and Order Tags, simply format your CSV according to the requirements shown in the popup window when you click the import button.

Tip: The Customers import also supports importing tags.
